I am a new registrant, but I won't be in New Zealand right away, what should I do?

If you intend to practise as a physiotherapist in New Zealand during the practising year you are required to hold a current APC. You can apply for an APC at anytime during the year as long as you have it before you start working.

If you won’t be practising in New Zealand for a while, then you could apply for Non Practising status for now, then apply for the APC once you are ready to start work here. This keeps your registration with the Board active.

Both the APC and Non Practising status can be applied for via our MyPBNZ portal.
