Do I need to be registered with the Board?

If you intend to practise as a Physiotherapist in Aotearoa | New Zealand, you are legally required to be registered with the Board and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) for the practising year you intend to work during.

This applies to any position, voluntary or paid, where your physiotherapy skills or knowledge are used.

Do I need to be registered if I am working as a physiotherapist assistant or therapy aide?

The job titles of Physiotherapy Assistant or Therapy Aide are not protected ones in Aotearoa | New Zealand, so you are free to work wherever you can gain employment.
