Common Application Issues
To ensure that your application is processes as quickly as possible, do you best to avoid these common mistakes:
Make sure your documents are correctly certified where required.

Make sure that PCCs and COGs are less than 3 months old on the date you apply.
We will ask you to supply updated documents if these are older than 3 months on the date you apply.

Make sure your PCC(s) cover the full 10 year date range.
If they only cover a partial amount of time over the 10 years prior to the date you apply, we will ask you to have this reissued.

If you've changed your name at some point, make sure this appears on PCCs and is updated for COGS
For PCCs
We require your full name and any other names you have been legally known as to appear on these documents. If you have changed your name at some point, make sure it's included or we will return the document and ask for it to be reissued.
For COGS
If you were registered under a previous name, either have your name updated to your current name or let us know to expect this under a different name. If we receive a COGS before your application it is filed under the name listed on the document and can become lost if we aren't aware that it belongs to you under your new name.
